A solidary and responsible coffee at the Best Western Hotel Lakmi Nice

New! The Best Western Hotel Lakmi Nice is implementing a new CSR action with a new brand of coffee in its Deluxe and Junior Suites rooms equipped with Nespresso coffee machines.

The concept of Café joyeux, born 5 years ago, is based on the inclusion of people with disabilities in so-called ordinary jobs. The Best Western Hotel Lakmi Nice is proud to participate in this solidarity movement since 100% of the profits from the café contribute to the opening of future café-restaurants that employ and train people with mental and cognitive disabilities.

The values of solidarity, responsibility, comfort and service are in the DNA of the Best Western Hotel Lakmi Nice. In line with its CSR approach, the hotel is implementing an act of solidarity by replacing its Nespresso coffee capsules with Café Joyeux capsules.

The Deluxe rooms and Junior Suites of the Best Western Hôtel Lakmi Nice are equipped with Nespresso machines with two free coffee capsules on the day of arrival. Committed and always ready to improve, the Best Western Hotel Lakmi Nice innovates by choosing a brand of coffee that conveys strong human values with "Café Joyeux". These new capsules are perfectly adapted to Nespresso machines and have a round and soft taste like velvet.

If the concept and taste of Joyeux coffee appeal to you, you can also buy it on their website.

The Café Joyeux concept

It was in 2017 that the first Café Joyeux solidarity restaurant was born. Today present in 5 cities in France and in Lisbon, Café Joyeux employs and trains people mostly affected by Down's syndrome or cognitive disorders such as autism.

Their ambition is to make disability visible and to encourage encounters by offering work, in an ordinary environment, to people who are far from employment.

Café Joyeux is launching its specialty coffee brand in 2018 following the success of the coffee shop/restaurant concept. Available in bean, ground and capsule coffee, Café Joyeux is responsible and supportive.

The coffee is sourced in a sustainable and authentic way and meets quality criteria.
It is roasted and packaged in France and orders are prepared in Paris by 30 disabled people.

All profits from the Café Joyeux cafés/restaurants and coffee sales contribute to the opening of the next Café Joyeux. The Best Western Hotel Lakmi Nice is committed to this approach of inclusion and solidarity by offering capsules of the brand Café Joyeux in all Deluxe rooms and Junior suites of the hotel.
