The Cours Saleya, just a stone's throw from Best Western Plus Hotel Masséna Nice, is one of the liveliest squares in the old town. Located between the historical city centre and the Quai des Etats-Unis (wharf), the Cours Saleya turns into a typical Provençal market every day except Mondays.
The flower market on the western half is listed as one of France's outstanding markets by the Conseil National des Arts Culinaire. You can find oodles of flowers and plants of all kinds here, to suit all tastes: it’s irresistible! This flower market is one of Nice's most popular spots. You’ll love walking around, browsing and taking in the colourful atmosphere !

2- Liberation market

Immerse yourself in Nice's day-to-day life at the Liberation market, every morning from Tuesday to Sunday, north of the old town along Avenue Malausséna all the way to Place du General de Gaulle. There are 120 fruit and vegetable stalls as well as seafood, butchers' and deli stalls, among others. Local producers also sell organic cheeses and honey.
Liberation, a vibrant neighbourhood in Nice, abounds with sunny little terraces and restaurants. The market here’s a slice of quintessential Nice, where you're sure to hear people speaking "Nissart" (local dialect).
Indeed, it's said that the best "Pan-bagnat", a Nice speciality (wet bread), is to be found at Kiosque chez Tintin on Place du General de Gaulle.

Saint-Roch market The "Marché de Saint-Roch" is a small, off-beat market. It's located at the foot of Saint-Roch church and is held every morning from Tuesday to Sunday. Highly valued by the locals, it's been going on for many years, with 20 stalls or so selling local and regional products. Fruits, vegetables, fish, cheeses... There's something for everyone !
You'll just love the laid-back, friendly atmosphere here.

5 - The flea market

"Les Puces de Nice" is a second-hand market with an original feel, held in the sheds of Le Vieux Port, Nice's old harbour. It’s on all day long from Tuesday to Sunday, featuring all kinds of furniture and diverse objects, as well as highly valuable antiques. You'll find prestigious antique paintings and furniture as well as vintage clothes.
