Nice : discover the Promenade des Anglais

Between the sea and the mountains, the city of Nice is a touristic destination known for its climate, its landscapes and also for its famous Promenade des Anglais that has become a key venue. Throughout your walk you will behold the sea but also the famous blue chairs and artistic works.

During your stay at the Best Western Plus Hotel Massena Nice, you will inevitably have the occasion to discover this big promenade along the sea and the beaches. The 7 km-long Promenade des Anglais is the emblem of the city of Nice. You can walk, run, ride a bike or even go on a Segway through it. A unique atmosphere can be felt in this place where everybody is mixing and strolling. Thanks to the sun and the turquoise blue water of the sea, there is a very Californian vibe on the Promenade des Anglais which makes of it an amazing area.

This wonderful spot gives inspiration to many artists, photographers, drawers, painters : all want to immortalize the white pebbles bordered by the sumptuous Mediterranean Sea. On the spot, you can relax on a bench facing the sea, go down and take a gourmet break on the pebbles or even profit from a day on the beach.

Must-sees on the Promenade des Anglais : the blue chairs, the artistic works, the Statue of Liberty or the structure “I Love Nice”

Rows of blue chairs are installed close to each other to allow the strollers to contemplate the sea and to enjoy the view on the Bay of Angels.

Having become the symbol of the Promenade des Anglais, a giant blue chair of 3 metres high made by the artist SAB is reigning on the Promenade since 2014.

On the Quai des Etats-Unis, you can also discover two other creations : the « 9 oblique lines” of Bernar Venet and a Statue of Liberty in miniature of Bartholdi.

If you continue your walk towards the port of Nice, make a souvenir photo in front of the structure #ILoveNice and the wonderful panorama on all the Promenade des Anglais, the Nice Côte d’Azur airport and the Mediterranean Sea that it lets see.

And to finish the stroll, go up by joining the Castle Hill and enjoy the 360-degree view on the roofs of the city of Nice, the sea and the Bay of Angels.
