WHAT IS THE "GREEN KEY" LABEL?

Launched in France in 1998, the Green Key label is the first ecolabel for tourist establishments in France and abroad. Recognized for its rigorous standards, this label guarantees visitors a stay in an establishment with a sustainable commitment to the planet. Thanks to regular audits and controls, it encourages the development of sustainable, environmentally-friendly and socially-responsible tourism. However, obtaining this label does not entail any price increases. OUR ECOLOGICAL COMMITMENTS AT THE HOTEL FLORENCE

  • Bees on the roof: Three beehives have taken up residence on the hotel roof. This initiative contributes to the preservation of bees and encourages the development of beekeeping in Nice.
     
  • A garden with local flavors: A small aromatic garden and a kitchen garden are located on the roof. They provide mint and verbena for our welcome drink, and basil and cherry tomatoes for the breakfast buffet in summer.
     
  • BEE GREEN at your service: At check-in, we offer our guests the opportunity to reduce their ecological footprint by providing a cleaning service up to D+2 (water and energy savings).
     
  • Minimized food waste: Our healthy breakfast focuses on reducing food waste and features organic produce, seasonal fruit and local products.
     
  • Optimized energy and water consumption: We reduce our energy consumption thanks to eco-responsible equipment such as the heat pump installed on the roof, the use of LED bulbs and presence sensors. Likewise, we limit our water consumption thanks to on-demand laundry and water-saving equipment on our taps.
     
  • Products and waste: We use eco-labelled products for maintenance and renovation, while promoting the sorting of recyclable waste.
     
  • Eco-responsible communication: For environmentally-friendly communication, we limit the use of paper documents by promoting the use of QR codes and seeded paper business cards.
     
  • Committed suppliers: We prefer local suppliers who share our ecological values.
